The U of T Student Life Professionals (SLP) started as an opportunity for like-minded professionals to come together informally to share best practices, collaborate on initiatives, and network with colleagues across the university campus.
Today, the SLP group (also known as SLP) has expanded to include professionals from across the University of Toronto, including The Scarborough and Mississauga campuses.
Currently, the SLP group is a community of professionals who create development and networking programming designed by staff for staff at the University of Toronto. This year we are joined by SLP@UTM, designed to specifically engage professionals at the UTM campus, in partnership with the tri-campus team. Our initiatives include:
Reading & Discussion Groups
All events are free and open to all staff and faculty at the University of Toronto. We welcome all professionals at the University, regardless of title or division, to join our events, gain valuable skills, participate in discussions, and develop connections.
OUR WORK | SLP READS
SLP Reads is a branch of the Student Life Professionals group. The goal of SLP Reads is for colleagues to come together to discuss and reflect on current topics important to our work. SLP Reads meets 2-3 times per semester at all three campuses. A reading is distributed a week or two prior to the meeting that is then discussed as a group at the meeting.
To receive updates on future SLP Reads (dates and readings) or if you have suggestions for readings, please fill out this form.
